The clients wanted to take their early 80’s oak look to an updated space that reflected their desire for an inviting entertaining area in the kitchen.

Removing the bulkhead and taking the cabinets up to the ceiling not only gave more storage and function, it added height to the kitchen.
The overall foot print remained very much the same. With heightened cabinets and more drawer space the owners opted for a corner cook top and wall oven combination that allowed an open area which created a great space for a shared work area. The pot and pan drawer storage directly below the cook top provides simple easy access to the most commonly used items.
A swing out pantry on one side of the fridge and adjustable shelving on the other created an abundance of storage options.
A baking centre was important to these home owners so having a unit that easily accessed supplies was easily accommodated by the simple means of pullout units.
A ceiling to counter glass door unit complimented the kitchen area and created a wall hutch effect. By adding this water glass door unit and wine storage on the opposite wall these two units transitioned the kitchen into the dining area with style.
The combination of quartz counter tops and solid wood add a warmth to this inviting space. All of the natural light in this bright open area draws out the accent of the natural walnut surface.
New wall to wall vanities in the main bath and the en-suite provide plenty of storage and are complemented by new quartz surfaces making easy cleaning with the under surface mount sinks.
